Somers Bagpipes have developed a highly professional bagpipe
manufacturing shop. We use excellent machinery and traditional
hand-turned craftsmanship to produce bagpipes
of superior finish and tonal quality.

Here you can see one of our lathes, and a table of bagpipe parts in various stages of manufacture. At Somers Bagpipes, we don't hit "go" and let the machines do the work. We hand-turn each piece, using traditional methods to get the best from each block of wood. At the top left of the peg board you can see some of the Somers Bagpipes pipe chanters making their way toward the sales floor.

Another view of the workshop, and another lathe. In view on the right of the peg board are several repair jobs in progress. Whether you want to repair or replace cracked or broken pieces, make a new blowpipe, or just clean up and restore an old set of pipes, we can do it all here in the shop.

In the forground here are some Somers smallpipes. We make bellows-blown smallpipes in the keys of A, D, and an A/D combination set. We also make a super mouth-blown "miniature bagpipe" in the key of B flat.
